Service Description

Designed for older creatives ready to dive deeper into fashion design, Bcat Threads’ Advanced Fashion Summer Camp offers an immersive, hands-on experience for ages 9–14. Campers will spend about half of each day sewing, gaining practical machine skills while creating multiple wearable fashion pieces they can be proud of. In addition to sewing, campers will learn foundational draping techniques, explore pattern concepts, and work through the full design process—from inspiration and sketching to fabric selection and construction. Throughout the camp, we’ll touch on key elements of fashion design including color, texture, fit, and styling, while incorporating as many creative challenges, activities, and design projects as our time allows. This camp is perfect for students who love fashion and want to build real skills in a fun, encouraging environment. Prior sewing experience is helpful but not required—curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to try are all that’s needed.
